This position shall work closely with the Board of Trustees and act as the custodian of records for the Village of Birmingham.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as custodian of official City records and public documents.

  • Prepares and distributes agendas, background materials, minutes and records.

  • Performs research as requested.

  • Works with city attorney, fire chief and other city employees/departments

  • Attends all Council meeting, recording minutes and official votes

  • Assures that official city records are properly recorded and maintained

  • Prepares monthly journals, adjustments and reconciliations for Board of Trustee review.

  • Prepares Department Budget and annual financial statements and submits to Board of Trustees for review

  • Assist with year end audits

  • Makes city deposits as needed

  • Prepare monthly bills, prepare checks to be signed, and pay monthly bills.

  • Prepare annual tax levy

  • Other duties as assigned.

Water Billing

Your water bill will now be mailed to you. If you have questions about your bill or your contact information needs to be updated please contact city hall at 816-455-0045 or at Bills are due 1/5, 3/5, 5/5, 7/5, 9/5 and 11/5. A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed if your bill is received after the 5th. 

Recycling and Trash Reminder

**Residents - Please remember to only put recycling in the recycle container located on the far side of the Town Hall parking lot. 

Do NOT put the following items in Recycle:

  • NO Food Waste

  • NO Plastic bags or film - Do NOT put your recyclables in plastic trash bags. 

  • NO foam cups & containers


The trash container located closest to the building should be reserved for Town Hall events.
